This New Extension Of Google Chrome May Save You From the Wrath Of Data Breach.

Since the internet came in Pakistan, everything changed, where in the old days when people used to have conversations via posts and fax, now they have Facebook, online mailing system. Obviously, internet made things easy for the people, reduced lead time in the sense of delivering messages to the other person, but beyond all these benefits there is a question in everyone’s mind that when they give their credentials to online websites, is internet secure enough and should they trust internet?

When we talk about safe and secure internet, there are problems which come in our minds like data breaching. Data breaching has been a huge problem for the online world, the last data breach happened in Pakistan was on 18th November 2018, where almost all the banks were hacked, now lot of people think that when the banks aren’t secure how our website’s passwords and other credential that we share on daily bases through internet can be safe?

Password breaches on the other hand are an unfortunately common occurrence, but as long as you have unique passwords you can deal with it, all you have to do is just change the login credentials and get on with it, but when massive breach happens it’s difficult to know that if your credential is still safe? And that’s where Google’s new extension comes in.

How it works

First you will have to install Password Checkup extension in google chrome, you can find it in extension store of chrome. So, Password checkup sends you confidential information to Google, and then the company makes sure that your passwords are encrypted, and there is not a single way to see your confidential data. Passwords are stored in the database in encrypted form, and if there is any threat to your data, you will get an automatic warning and they will tell you to change the password.

The feature has been developed with Internet Engineering Task Force, Adobe, and Open ID Foundation.
